An American Airlines jet bound for John F. Kennedy Airport yesterday morning returned just after takeoff to Los Angeles International (LAX) when the aircraft developed a pressurization issue.

American Flight 2 had 168 passengers on board and landed back at LAX at 10:20 AM PDT. There were no injuries.

Airline spokesman Matt Miller said the Boeing 767 was taken out of service for repairs.
