A Qantas 747 flying from Sydney to Singapore on Thursday diverted to Darwin Airport when a burning odor enveloped the cabin.

Qantas Flight 5 made a safe landing with no injuries reported.

The cause of the smell has not been determined but the captain of the flight was reportedly concerned about an electrical fault.
