Kingfisher Airlines ATR Turboprop

A Kingfisher Airlines ATR plane had to scrap its flight Wednesday when a baggage car ran into its nose causing significant damage to the aircraft.

According to reports, the plane had left the gate and was taxiing when the baggage car ran in to its path and hit it.

There is a report saying the driver of the car got his foot struck in the accelerator causing the vehicle to run away.

There were no injuries.

    I used to be a Line/Ramp Manager and did safety audits for several years. I would have GLEEFULLY shredded this guy’s airport badge and thrown him off the ramp after an incident like this. So many things went wrong in this instance.

      I agree Phil! Can you imagine this ramp worker wearing sandals??? This isn’t allowed at US airports, is it? I’d be worried about dropping something on my foot! Nevermind the risk of causing a disaster like this one…
