Etihad Airlines announced yesterday they will suspend all flights to Damascus, Syria due to security concerns in the country.

“The decision, while not taken lightly, has been made due to the deteriorating security position in Syria,” a statement by the airline said.

The airline did not say when they might resume flights.

Syria has been embroiled in a rebellion uprising for several months.
