A SpiceJet airliner with 127 passengers and crew aboard flying from Bagdogra Airport (India) to Kolkata (India) had to return to Bagdogra due to a technical problem yesterday.

The flight number and aircraft type were not available, but our sources say the pilots detected a problem with the engine and returned to Bagdogra for a safe landing.

There were no reported injuries.

Spicejet runs 737 on the route. Most likely it would have been SG 324 flying to Chennai via Kolkatta. The Q400′s operate on shorter routes.
