A bird strike caused damage to the radome of a United Airlines Boeing 757 en route to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) yesterday according to a report by the FAA.

United Airlines Flight 592 took off from Los Angeles International (LAX) at 6:13 AM local time. A bird struck the radome (nose) of the 757-200 on approach to JFK but pilots landed the aircraft safely at 1:53 PM local time with no injuries reported.

The FAA reported the damage as minor.
