Mandarin Airlines Embraer ERJ-190 sits on the end of the runway with collapsed nose gear

A Mandarin Airlines plane overshot the runway on landing in rainy conditions at Makung, Taiwan last Friday resulting in the nose gear collapsing.

Flight 369’s gear failed as it left the paved runway surface. There were no injuries reported. The Embraer ERJ-190 suffered substantial damage in the incident.

The airport was shut down for 11 hours until the plane was removed.

    I’m glad there were no injuries- at least to the passengers! Planes can be fixed, but people can’t!
