United Airlines 737 Jet Returns to Houston with Engine Problem

A United Airlines Boeing 737 flying from Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to Boston Logan (BOS) this morning returned to Bush when one of its engines developed a problem, according to reports.

United Flight 1124 took off from Bush at 8:15 AM local time and the engine problem occurred on its climb. Pilots decided to return to Houston but not before circling and burning off fuel for more than an hour.

The Boeing 737-900 landed safely at 10:11 AM. There were no injuries.

There is no further word on the cause of the problem.
