Frontier to Launch Route Between Denver & Phoenix-Mesa with A319
Frontier Airlines today announced new nonstop service between its Denver, Colorado (DEN), hub and Phoenix-Mesa, Ariz. (AZA), with daily nonstop flights beginning on Nov. 15, 2012.
“Seeing that Denver is the top air travel destination from Phoenix, this expansion into the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport allows us to further differentiate our product offering, providing greater convenience and access to customers living and working in the east valley community,” said Greg Aretakis, Frontier’s vice president, network and revenue. “We have received tremendous community support and look forward to bringing our high value, low fare service to east valley travelers who currently have few customer friendly options.”
“Frontier’s announcement of service to its Denver hub makes Gateway Airport a literal gateway to the world,” Mesa Mayor and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority Board Chair Scott Smith said. “It means east valley travelers can go to destinations across the country and internationally with a single plane change, which is especially important for business.”
Following is the schedule for Frontier’s Phoenix-Mesa service:
Denver-Phoenix-Mesa (beginning Nov. 15, 2012)
Route Departs Arrives Frequency Aircraft
DEN-AZA 1:10 p.m. 3:03 p.m. Daily A319
AZA-DEN 3:43 p.m. 5:27 p.m. Daily A319
The new service will operate on 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft – featuring 30 channels of DIRECTV service available at every seat. Additionally, these flights will offer five rows of comfortable STRETCH seating with an additional five to seven inches of legroom, and the airline’s SELECT seating product. Frontier’s website, FrontierAirlines.com, offers the guaranteed lowest fares and is the only place STRETCH and SELECT seating is available at the time of booking.
