A United Airlines plane en route to Boston Logan (BOS) returned to Houston Bush (IAH) just after takeoff due to a bird strike on Thursday evening.
The United flight, which had 166 passengers and 5 crew aboard, made a safe landing after pilots burned fuel for about 15 minutes. There were no injuries.
According to the FAA, the bird struck the front of the aircraft just below the pilot’s window.
Damage to the aircraft is unknown. The FAA has not released the aircraft type or flight number.
