The airline’s last 747 flights will be on November 24th; Kuala Lumpur (KLIA)-London Heathrow (LHR) route and November 25th; Kuala Lumpur (KLIA)-Sydney route.
The Kuala Lumpur-Heathrow route is expected to be taken over by the Airbus A380.
The Malaysian carrier will be adding a second A380 next month and a third later in the year.

*sigh* The 747s are disappearing. I hate it!!
I feel your pain, James :( Pretty soon it’ll be rare to see a 747-400! It’s a shame the economy is killing planes in this segment.
Saudi Arabian Airlines, Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific, British Airways, United Airlines, Delta, etc. These are some of the carriers I know that still has the 747′s. Just make them order the 747-8′s
Agreed. Whenever I see a 747 come in by my house I always try to savor the moment. :) You never know when we’ll see hardly any of those birds in the air.
Same here! If fuel costs keep going up, i’d be surprised to see many Airlines still in business in the future. And the bigger the plane, the more fuel they use… My guess is that the regional market is going to keep getting bigger :(
