A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 jet suffered a bird strike on approach to Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport (MSP) last night.

Southwest Flight 2501 took off from Chicago Midway Airport (MDW) at 9:02 PM CDT. The bird struck the leading edge of the right-hand wing just prior to landing. The 737 landed safely at 10:04 PM CDT.

The were no reported injuries and the FAA reported the damage to the aircraft as ‘minor’.
