Spirit Airlines has announced it is adding nonstop service between Phoenix-Mesa and Chicago.

Daily nonstop seasonally service between Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport starts November 8, 2012 and runs through April 24, 2013.

“We are committed to saving our customers money on travel by offering them the lowest fares,” says Chief Marketing Officer Barry Biffle. “We’re excited to offer travelers to the Phoenix-Mesa area our popular ultra low fares during the winter travel season.”

“Spirit Airlines’ expansion to O’Hare is more proof that Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is now a major commercial airport,” said Phoenix-Mesa Airport Gateway Board Chairman and Mesa Mayor Scott Smith. “Mesa and the entire valley is ‘Chicago West’ in many ways and we are looking forward to people flying Spirit Airlines between both regions, especially during the holidays and spring training.”
