Spirit Airlines to Offer Service from Fort Myers to Boston, DFW

Spirit Airlines is doubling the number of cities it serves from Fort Myers Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) this winter as it today announced it is adding nonstop ultra low fare service to three new cities, including Boston, Dallas/Fort Worth and Minneapolis-St. Paul.

  • Daily nonstop seasonal service between Fort Myers and Boston’s Logan International Airport starts November 8, 2012 and runs through April 24, 2013.
  • Spirit will offer nonstop seasonal service between Fort Myers and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport with three weekly flights from November 8, 2012 through April 24, 2013.
  • Daily nonstop seasonal service between Fort Myers and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport starts November 8, 2012 and runs through April 24, 2013.

“We are committed to saving our customers money on travel and offering them the lowest fares,” says Spirit’s Senior Director of Network Planning Mark Kopczak. “We’re excited to offer travelers to Fort Myers our popular ultra low fares during the winter travel season.”

“We are extremely pleased that Spirit Airlines will begin nonstop service to Boston, Dallas and Minneapolis from Southwest Florida International Airport starting in early November through the winter season,” said Robert M. Ball, A.A.E., executive director of the Lee County Port Authority. “Spirit Airlines has been operating at RSW since 1993, and these new flights will double the number of cities they currently serve from Fort Myers and offer our customers more choice when flying in and out of Southwest Florida.”
