My brother lives just a bit Northwest of runway 31R at DFW and we can watch MD-80s coming in on final right by his house all day long! :)
I’m jealous! The other day i was outside listening to my ipod, and i started to feel this “rumble”. I looked up and i could see and HEAR one of Delta’s MD88′s going overhead, probably 10k feet? WITH my ipod on! I can only imagine if i lived as close to the airport as your brother, i’m pretty sure i’d be up all night looking out my window, looking up reg’s and what not…
It’s pretty funny when I go to the market for groceries. The flight path is right over the market and I’ll stop to watch the plane coming in. You can tell some of the housewives are staring at me thinking ‘what’s he looking at’? LOL
Haha, average people must think we’re nuts. LOL But i always wonder how other people can just go about their day when something like that happens!
Just got back from the market Chris. Saw an AA 737 and an Eva Air Cargo 747….love watching ’47s come in!
The Eva actually comes in the morning but there was some mechanical delay I think.
It must be nice to see 747′s landing close! The biggest plane we get here at PVD is Delta’s MD88 which comes and goes 5 times a day, and also a 757 by FedEx and UPS :(
Yeah the morning is when they come in so I try to go down and see some of them.
That’s awesome! Last night i saw on flightware that one of SkyKing’s 737-200′s was coming in to my airport… but i couldn’t get there in time to see it.
