Finnair announced last Wednesday that they will cut nearly 300 jobs in its mechanical and technical services division as they plan to outsource.

‘…the airline announced the proposed redundancies as part of its agreement to sell its technical services operations. The retrenchments are to take effect from mid-September, when 280 workers will lose their jobs, while 75 will transfer to SR Technics.’

Finnair will try to accomodate as many of the layoffs as they can through severance packages and other job placements.
