A Delta Airlines jet from Detroit (DTW) to Phoenix (PHX) diverted for an emergency landing at Colorado Springs Municipal Airport (COS) Wednesday morning when a woman became unresponsive during the flight.

Delta Flight 1921 declared an emergency and landed at Colorado Springs at 10:08 MDT as the cabin crew was working to revive her.

The woman was removed from the plane but she was sadly declared deceased shortly after.

The flight continued on to Phoenix this afternoon.
