Delta Airlines Boeing 767 at Salt Lake City

A Delta Airlines jet leaving Salt Lake City (SLC) bound for Paris (CDG) Saturday afternoon was forced to return after it blew a tire.

Delta Airlines Flight 89, a Boeing 767-300 aircraft, had 198 passengers on board and landed safely after circling Salt Lake for a few hours while it burned off fuel.

There were no injuries reported and safety crews are inspecting the extent of the damage.

    I feel for those passengers… i’m currently planning for a trip and a delay like this could ruin it!

    When they have to circle for a few hours and the gear is already up, why not just head for Paris? If theere are no other issues, what could happen because of a flat tire?
