A SunExpress flight bound for Ankara, Turkey diverted to Bucharest’s Otopeni Airport on Tuesday when 2 male passengers attacked a flight attendant.

Flight 1691, a Boeing 737-800, safely landed and the flight attendant was treated by medical staff at the airport and is expected to be ok.

“The steward underwent a medical exam and will be able to resume work,” said airport spokesman Valentin Iordache.

The 2 attackers have been taken in to custody.

Flight 1691 originated from Frankfurt Airport.

I’m shocked to hear this. I’m hoping the two gentlemen are really put up against the wall for this. They assaulted a member of the flight crew and potentially put other passengers in danger. Senseless.

As it’s been said on this site more than a few times Phil…those people should be put on a ‘no-fly’ list!
