Passenger Dies on Jetairfly Flight to Brussels-UPDATE
UPDATE – May 23, 2012 – 4:40 PM EDT:
A spokesman for Jetairfly, Hans Vanhaelemeesch, released the following statement:
“At the airport a doctor determined the death of the passenger,” Vanhaelemeesch said. “The deceased passenger was traveling with his spouse. The cause of death is heart failure.”
“The management and staff of Jetairfly and Jetair express their condolences to the family of the deceased.”
A Jetairfly flight en route to Brussels, Belgium from Cancun, Mexico earlier today had to reroute to Shannon Airport when a man showed symptoms of a heart attack.
Flight 208, a Boeing 767, landed less than 10 minutes after the decision to divert according to reports.
Emergency medical personnel met the aircraft at the gate to treat the man but unfortunately was pronounced dead.
A replacement crew was brought in and the flight resumed several hours later.

Ugh! Makes me want to cry. Thankfully that never happened to me when I was working but that’s just so sad. I’m sure it really bummed out all the fellow passengers. :(
That’s the problem with being in a plane. You have something bad happen and you can’t get to a hospital quick enough.
