O’Hare Cargo Facility Will Create 11,000 Jobs Chicago Mayor Says

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has announced that a new cargo facility will be built at O’Hare International Airport (ORD) that will result in 11,000 new jobs.

Emanuel made the announcement this morning, saying the $200,000,000 project, the O’Hare Northeast Cargo Center, will make the airport one of he world’s largest cargo hubs.

“Others will see a city on the move,” Emanuel said.

The first phase of the project is due to start in 2013 and is scheduled to be completed by 2020.
