A flight attendant for Russian airline Aeroflot has been fired for posting a message on Twitter mocking the Sukhoi Superjet plane crash last Wednesday claiming 45 lives.

‘Ekaterina Solovyeva lost her job at Aeroflot after tweeting, “Huh? Did a Superjet crash? Hahaha! This aircraft sucks, it’s a pity it wasn’t in Aeroflot, that would be one less.”

Solovyeva quickly removed her Twitter page but other users had taken a screenshot of the offending tweet and complained to the airline, Russian website km.ru reported.’

The Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet 100 crashed in to a mountain south of Jakarta, Indonesia killing all 45 aboard on what was a demonstration flight for the new plane.

I can translate her Tweet for everyone. This says:

‘I’m an idiot. Please fire me. Thanks. ‘

    :)

While she is rather stupid and the crash was tragic, it does seem rather comical that they are demonstrating to potential customers when the plane crashes. And this was supposed to be new, safer, and more advanced technology?

    Honey…that was rather stupid!

What could the flight attendant have possibly disliked about the Superjet?
The Superjet has a cabin width of 3.236 meters and a cabin height of 2.12 meters. In comparison, the CRJ-900 has a cabin width of 2.57 meters and a cabin height of 1.89 meters. From what i can tell, the Superjet has the widest and tallest cabin out of any other 100-seat plane out there, and possibly the shortest aisle length. AND it has a galley! Let’s hope these Russian flight attendants never come to the US and have to work the new Delta MD-88 cabin configuration… or the CRJ/ERJ… LOL.

Well, Sky is right. You kinda do need it to fly. LOL

it doesnt matter how many .000000789 meters this is and how many .00456 meters that is, you will all be crushed to smaller pieces flyin in that typical russian POS!
