Woman Dies of Heart Attack on Korean Air Flight to Canada

A woman described in her 50′s died of an apparent heart attack on a Korean Air flight that was orignally scheduled to fly to Toronto, ON (YYZ) but diverted to Winnepeg for the emergency.

Korean Air flight 73, a Boeing 777, landed safely in Winnipeg where medical personel rushed the woman to the hospital.

She was reported deceased a short time later according to reports.

Flight 73 continued on to Toronto with a 3 hour delay.

The name of the woman has not been released.

We will update when we find out more.

    See, this is why flight attendants used to be trained nurses!

      And another guy just died today on a flight of a heart attack!

        Yikes, just a string of bad luck i suppose. Crews are supposed to have all the equipment necessary for reviving passengers- i guess they lack the know-how?

          I’m not sure how much training they require…do you?

            I think a lot actually- they’re supposed to be able to do CPR and use the “paddles” to jump people back to life. They’re aboard every aircraft. I have heard of cases where the F/A’s used the paddles and revived passengers having a heart attack… i guess it’s not common though LOL
