160 American Flights Cancelled out of DFW Due to Weather-UPDATE

DFW Storm Tarmac

Stormy weather at Dallas Ft. Worth Airport has cancelled 160 flights Tuesday

UPDATE – March 20, 2012 – 11:00 AM CDT:

American’s cancellations at DFW now stands at over 190 flights. United has also cancelled 110 flights at Houston Bush.

The weather is moving out of the Texas area now and officials say that they will be working to get back on schedule by later today.

Ongoing heavy rainstorms and lightning have cancelled 160 American Airlines and American Eagle flights out of Dallas Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW) on Tuesday.

More flights could be cancelled as the storm continues so people that have travel plans out of DFW are urged to call and check flights first.

DFW is American’s home hub.

In other news from DFW Airport, a worker was hit by a catering truck and was killed.

Houston With Delays and Cancellations

Some 60 flights have also been cancelled at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston due to, again, the Texas storms.
