Denver Airport Tebow Sign

Denver Airport and United Airlines left Pittsburgh Steeler fans a going away sign as a gesture of their mountain hospitality

If you’re an American NFL fan (yes this IS an international site…)) then you already know of the Denver Broncos dramatic overtime win in Denver over the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday in the NFL playoffs.

Pittsburgh Steeler fans are known for traveling to opposing teams’ stadiums ‘en masse to support their legendary team. Of course on this weekend the Pittsburgh faithful came up short in thanks to the Denver Broncos and their cinderella quarterback Tim Tebow.

Big deal, right? What’s this have to do with airlines??

Well, if you look at the picture above you will see that Denver Airport and United Airlines posted a little message to the Steeler fans who were flying home to Pittsburgh. It reads:

“HOW ‘BOUT THAT TEBOW?”

OUCH!!

We’re not sure if Denver Airport was behind this or United…or both. Denver is a big hub for UA so I wouldn’t put it past them.

Oh, if you look at the board you’ll see they’re to fly an Airbus 320. Airbus is, of course, French so we doubt they care who won the game.

Well…maybe. Is Tebow French??
